Today is a special day for many people…reflecting with gratitude on those who have served our country and those who continue to do so. Reflection is powerful. It can be a great teacher to those who take pause and take inventory on what they are reflecting on.   Today’s date, 11.11.11, only comes around once in a century…some people are going so far as to make a special wish at 11:11pm this evening.  Do you know someone who has been umemployed for a long period of time? Or are you just tired of your job? Either way, I can bet what one of their wishes may be. As Chris Brogan says, you must “push past the gravitational pull of what isn’t working.” It is time to optimize yourself.  I read this is a campaign that is going on at Google right now, a campagin to “Optimize Yourself”. So the social proof shows that it IS imporant to optimize yourself and take advantage of opportunities to learn and grow.  There are a wide range of experts out there to help you learn and grow at an intellectual, emotional, and spiritual level.  Growing in those capacities can make you grounded, well rounded, and a great employee to an organization.  As an Executive Recruiter and Career Coach, I have plenty of resources to help you take charge of your job search…the action behind any career wish you may have.  My friend Lorin Beller Blake says, “Notice what you are attracting.  This is a great clue as to what you are putting your energy into.” She is spot on, especially as it relates to a job search.  Here are some resources to help you “Optimize Yourself” as it relates to your job search, or a job search of a friend you may chose to forward this to.
